Patrick McgrathPresidentPatrick joined OSIG in winter of 2018 and currently serves as the President of the group. Patrick enjoys hearing a variety of opinions on the equity markets within the group. Majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Patrick recently completed an internship at Google related to machine learning within Google Search. He will be returning to Google to work in the Bay Area after he graduates. With great interest in technological analytics, Patrick wants to pursue a career as a quantitative analyst. In his spare time, Patrick enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with friends, and investing his personal equity portfolio.

Mackenzie Thibaultvice presidentMackenzie joined OSIG in the fall of 2019. Currently serving as Vice President, Mackenzie loves that OSIG compels its analysts to push themselves outside of their comfort zone in order to prepare for the professional world. Mackenzie is an MBA student focusing on Corporate Finance, and currently interns for a startup in Bend, OR. She received her Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience from Michigan State University. She hopes to one day combine her love for science with her new found passion for finance! Mackenzie enjoys reading in her spare time - anything from memoirs, to science fiction, to fantasy!
Fun Fact: “While I moved to Oregon from Michigan for graduate school, I was born and (partially) raised in southern California. I truly am a West Coast girl at heart!” |
Brett ThompsontreasurerBrett joined OSIG in the spring of 2019. As the Treasurer and IMEU Sector Leader, Brett enjoys taking deep dives into companies to better gauge its value. Brett developed a love for the IMEU sector after pitching Lockheed Martin earlier this year. Double majoring in finance and investment banking, Brett is interested in finding opportunities in investment banking and corporate finance. Last summer, Brett had the opportunity to intern at JWTT, an investment bank and a market-maker in community banks, where he got his first industry experience. In his spare time, Brett enjoys playing golf, football, basketball and volleyball as well as spending time skiing, cooking and hiking outdoors.

nolan eggertdirector of researchNolan Joined OSIG in the spring of 2019. Currently serving as the Director of Research, Nolan started out as a Financial Sector Analyst and shortly thereafter assumed the role of Financial Sector Leader. Nolan thoroughly enjoys being surrounded by other highly motivated students as well as the vast learning opportunities that OSIG provides. Upon graduation, Nolan will be working as an Investment Banking Analyst at KeyBanc Capital Markets, covering technology companies. In his spare time, Nolan enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, cooking, and spending time with friends.

Parker atkinsonLarge-Cap Portfolio ManagerParker is a senior Accounting & Finance Student from Medford, Oregon. After school, he will be moving to Denver to work for PwC as an Assurance Associate. In the long run, he plans to live in Denver and expand his network while having a good time exploring the natural landscape of Colorado.

Kobe CraigGlobal Portfolio ManagerKobe joined OSIG in the winter of 2019. Currently serving as the Global Portfolio Manager, Kobe values the competitive nature and the professional development the group provides its members. Beginning as a Technology Sector Analyst, Kobe continues to be passionate in this field. Majoring in finance, Kobe most recently interned at an investment fund, where he got the chance to work as an equity research analyst. With deep interests in research, Kobe hopes to one day work in private equity. Outside of school Kobe enjoys spending his time golfing, snowboarding, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Sector Leaders
Paul hudsonConsumer goods sector leaderPaul joined OSIG in the fall of 2018. He currently serves as the consumer goods sector leader and enjoys the collaborative nature of the group. Starting as a consumer goods analyst he previously served as Global Portfolio Manager. As a marketing major and psychology minor, Paul has had the opportunity to gain experience in equity research, digital marketing, and professional sales during his time at OSU. In his free time, Paul enjoys staying active, reading, and playing the guitar.

Spencer BrownFinancial sector leaderSpencer joined OSIG in the fall of 2019. He is a senior majoring in finance and will graduate in June of 2021. Spencer is currently the OSIG financial sector leader and president of the OSU Finance Club. Outside of school, Spencer enjoys hiking and reading.

garrett mottHealthcare sector leaderGarrett joined OSIG in the winter of 2020. He currently serves as the group Healthcare Sector Leader, where he enjoys following innovations and news within the large industry. The Healthcare sector grabbed Garrett's attention as we began to watch the trends of the Global COVID-19 Pandemics impact spread across financial markets. As a Finance and Supply Chain Major in the College of Business, Garrett furthered his interest in operations and finance as an Operation Services Intern at U.S. Bank. In his free time, Garrett enjoys creative writing, sports, and practicing keyboard shortcuts.

Gus Lighttechnology Sector LeaderGus joined the group in the fall term of his Junior year. As a senior, who is the leader of the Tech Sector, Gus thoroughly enjoys keeping up with market trends and analyzing stocks within the tech industry. As a finance major, Gus’s long term career goal is to become a venture capitalist. In his free time, Gus enjoys watching sports, working out, skiing, and hiking.
